Shopping Is Personal. So Is How We Pay.

We all have our shopping habits. Our favorite stores, our go-to products, and even the way we pay. And when something works, we're not exactly rushing to change it.

That's what makes Walmart's move toward contactless payments such a big deal.

With Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and contactless cards rolling out across Walmart and Sam's Club, millions of shoppers have more opportunities to make mobile wallets part of their everyday routines.

Because when it comes to changing consumer behavior, confidence is everything.

Research from Pew found that 84% of consumers who used mobile payments in the past year had also used them in the past month. While that doesn't mean one tap creates a habit, it suggests that once consumers embrace mobile payments, they often keep using them.

Nobody wants to hold up the checkout line figuring out how to pay with their phone. Once they've done it a few times, though, it becomes second nature.

So what does this mean for brands?

Walmart is already one of the top retailers for redemptions across the Zenivize network. As shoppers become more comfortable using mobile wallets to pay, there's an even bigger opportunity to use those same wallets for offers, rewards, and loyalty.

No extra app. Just a direct connection to consumers through technology they're already using.

Because the best way to change how people shop isn't to ask them to build an entirely new routine.

It's to become part of the one they already have.
